In "Night" fire represents the cruelty of the Germans. How they used firepower and the crematorium are both good examples of just how cruel they were. I chose this picture because when he first arrives it is night which is the black background and he had to see children thrown into the flames. A line from the book that really made a big impact on me would be "Never shall I forget those flames that consumed my faith forever". Throughout the book fire is a symbol of destruction and death. |
